News Update January 5th, 2010

As most members are aware, and as stated in the last NEWS UPDATE, the trial for our legal claim is scheduled to proceed the last week of April, 2010.

To provide the Plaintiffs and the courts with a better understanding of our case, our legal counsel has prepared a 182 page document called a “MEMORANDUM OF FACT AND LAW ON BEHALF OF THE PLAINTIFFS”.

This “MEMORANDUM” sets out the nuts, bolts and details of our legal claim. This SUMMARY was prepared after years of research of a large number of Government and other documents and extensive interviews of the plaintiffs as well as senior government personnel.

In consideration of the length and detail of this document, and at the request of the plaintiffs, our legal counsel has prepared an “Executive Summary of Memorandum of Fact and Law on behalf of the Plaintiffs”. This Summary is quite brief (14 pages) as it does not contain much of the detail required for the legal proceeding. This Summary is enclosed herewith and is hoped to provide the membership with a better understanding of and the basis for OUR LEGAL CLAIM.

Please read the “SUMMARY” and be better informed regarding our CLAIM. As your PLAINTIFFS and LEGAL COUNSEL are always open to new approaches and ways of addressing the concerns of the membership, please feel free to pass on any comments or suggestions that you may have.
